Remember Cammy & Kevan from their [ engagement shoot ] & [ Cammy's bridal ]? We spent the weekend with them in Virginia recently shooting their rehearsal dinner & wedding & had a blast.
The girls got ready at the Glendale House, an amazing historic home in Galax, Virginia. I was able to spend a whole 5 hours with the girls, so was very excited to have tons of time to shoot some great detail shots all over the house & property, as well as to shoot portraits of Cammy & her bridesmaids.
Check out the great florals by [ Pots of Luck Florist ] out of Charlotte. Their use of green in the bouquets & pomanders was so fun!
I know this is lame to say out loud, but I am in love with this tree. One day I will have a great big yard with a huge, awesome tree in it just like this one - you'll see. :)

Tres & Joel met Kevan at the cabin for the preparations & some hangout time with the guys.
Cammy & Kevan are so lucky to have family with such beautiful property in the mountains - they were able to have both their ceremony & reception there on the New River. They were also able to add all sorts of meaningful personal touches to the wedding. Cammy & her dad even drove into the ceremony in her grandfather's old baby blue Mustang.
I loved all the portraits we took of Cammy & Kevan after the ceremony. It was so hard to narrow them down to these six!
Cammy's new last name is "Starr" so they incorporated lots of cute star details into their reception decor. Loved all the mossy, green details too - so perfect for a spring wedding.

I don't think I can put into words how much I loved this engagement shoot! We had such a good time with Krissy, Bret & their two adorable beagles. Don't they just make the perfect family?

Remember Cammy from her [ engagement shoot ] in Greensboro last year?
We shot her bridal photos in downtown Greensboro as well & had so much fun. You can never go wrong with a downtown bridal shoot. There is just such a variety of great backdrops to work with.

This has been something in the making for a while now, so I am very excited to finally introduce Joel Hodges, the newest member of the inContrast team! Many of you may recognize him from some of our wedding & portrait shoots in which he has come along as a third shooter or assistant.
Joel is an all around fun guy who will be bringing his photojournalistic expertise & sparkling personality along as a third photographer & assistant on some of our shoots, as well as helping edit & manage things around the office.
And as if Joel wasn't awesome enough already, he even willingly allowed us to assault him with water balloons! :)

One of my best friends from back in our high school days came to visit recently & I got to meet her adorable kids for the first time. It was raining the whole time they were in town, but we decided to take her oldest, Carlie, out for a quick shoot anyway with her new galoshes & umbrella. :) Next time they visit, I'm crossing my fingers for some nice weather so we can take some family photos with baby Ethan too!!
